Job Description
Our Property Tax Compliance and Advisory Senior Associate will assist in managing a team of personal property analysts who are responsible for the preparation and filing of personal property returns, reviewing assessment notices, processing tax bills, and interfacing with assessment officials to discuss property tax valuations.
This position will be hybrid.
Day-to-day responsibilities:Assisting in the oversight, management, and functions of property tax compliance - asset preparation, return preparation and review, tax bill procuring and processing, and management reportingReview of Assessor workpapers, models, and valuation inputsDevelopment of industry valuation analyticsDevelopment and presentation of client valuation positionsMeet with Assessors and present before Boards of Review in efforts to reach fair and equitable property tax valuations on behalf of clientsDrive business development activities, both individually and as part of a teamEssential traits:
Bachelor's degree in a business related field or equivalent years of property tax related experience3 years or more of relevant personal property tax compliance and/or advisory experienceFamiliarity with personal property compliance software programs, including PTMSSound knowledge of personal property tax forms and procedures of various state and local jurisdictionsExcellent project management and presentation skills, including superior verbal and written communication skillsExtensive experience in the use of Microsoft ExcelPrevious experience leading a team of professionalsExcellent relationship management skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
