Description

Summary: This position is Hybrid capable. Provides oversight to the management, maintenance, and security of New Vision's server infrastructure. This position will ensure the smooth operation of servers and related systems, optimize performance, and implement necessary upgrades and patches. This includes ensuring the availability of virtualization hosts, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing server environment management. Where applicable, this individual also plans and implements policies and procedures to ensure storage provisioning, efficiency, and maintenance consistent with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Supports New Vision Co-op's stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.Projects a positive attitude to patrons and coworkers always.Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including operating systems and applications.Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure server security.Configures, supports and maintains all New Vision Coop software and web applications.Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address potential problems to ensure high availability and reliability.Implement security measures to safeguard server infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.Participate in and support capacity planning and developing long-term strategic goals for systems, software, and storage in conjunction with technical services team members.Implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and archiving to ensure adequate protection and integrity of organizational data and assets.Repairs or replaces damaged hardware.Aids in evaluating and establishing system security policies.Establishes and maintains strong relationships with service providers.Manages technical documentation.Assists in developing disaster recovery plans.Assists with data processing and accounting problem-solving.Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements

Two or four-year degree from an accredited college or university in information technology-related field; One year of related experience.Knowledge of and experience with computer hardware and software; Familiarity with networking concepts and cabling practices; Experience with Microsoft Office products, Office 365 preferred;Knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems and SQL databases;Familiarity with mobile computing and applications.Familiarity with best security practices.Valid Drivers License
