Salary Range:

$108,400 - $157,200 Annually

Anticipated Hiring Range:

$108,400 - $132,800 Annually

Job Summary:

The City of Greeley is seeking a Project Manager to join the newly formed Office of Project Management division of the High Performance Government department. The IT Project Manager will report to the Director of Innovation and High Performance and will coordinate the planning and execution of IT projects while maintaining strict deadlines, resources, and budgets. This includes acquiring and collaborating with resources from various internal departments across the City and/or coordinating external contractor or consultant resources as needed in order to meet goals and objectives according to each project plan. The IT Project Manager will define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

Adheres to and reinforces all IT policies, processes, and proceduresDirects and manages project development from beginning to end; defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support City goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersCoordinates with key project stakeholders, project sponsor, and change sponsor to develop project communication plans.Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion by developing full-scale project plans and associated communication documentsIdentifies, tracks, manages, and mitigates project risks in collaboration with the project teamSets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholdersIdentifies and resolves conflicts within the project team while also coaching, mentoring, and motivating project team members to take positive action and accountability for their workEstimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Continually assesses and makes recommendations for additional staff and/or consulting services as needed throughout the project life cycleManages changes in scope, identifies risks, and devises contingency plansPlans, schedules, and tracks project timelines, budget, resources, and milestones using appropriate toolsDevelops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations throughout project life cycle as neededConducts project postmortems and creates recommendations to improve unsuccessful project elements while also reporting and highlighting project successesDevelops best practices and tools used for managing individual projects as well as the portfolio of projectsSupervisory Responsibilities: None.

Travel: Approximately 10% of travel may be required.
