JOB SUMMARY
The Powder and Tablets Mixer is responsible for accurately measuring, blending, and mixing raw ingredients according to specified formulations and batch sheets. This role ensures product consistency and quality while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards within the manufacturing facility.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Read and accurately follow specified formulation and compounding from batch sheets, including locating, pulling, staging and weighing raw materialsOperate mixing equipment, including adding and discharging raw materials from blender/tanksMonitor filling process to ensure product does not overfill totes, hoppers, or tanksClean equipment, buckets, totes, machinery, and work areas as assignedAs required, work on production lines to meet production goals and ensure a smooth workflowRequirements
SKILLS & ABILITIES/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift and/or retrieve items up to 50 pounds without assistance, 50 - 100 pounds with assistance, and 100+ pounds with mechanical assistanceAbility to push/pull up to 300lbs on wheels, with or without assistanceBasic math skills using a calculatorAbility to remain alert and focusedAbility to walk and/or stand for 6+ hours per dayRepetitive hand-wrist, elbow and shoulder motion for duration of shiftRecurring climbing and descending of stairs or step ladders (work for this position may be performed at an elevated station)Additional physical activities include bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching, and performing work in awkward positionsA variety of natural ingredients and chemicals are used while manufacturing products. Some of these products, regardless of their state of being (undiluted, diluted, mixed, etc.) may cause injury and/or illness if not treated properly or for those with specific allergiesInclement indoor/outdoor extremes of cold, heat, dust, wind and various forms of precipitationEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.Experience working in manufacturing environment, specifically compoundingKnowledge of CGMP's
WORKING HOURS:
Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 1:30pm (occasional overtime)
