Job DescriptionThe Quality Inspector is responsible for the final inspection of aerospace jet engine parts. The Inspector must comply with customer requirements and inspection methods.This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Quality Operations Supervisor.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinal Inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and componentsExperience operating CMM using PCDMIS a plusInspection includes visual and dimensional using required gaging and measuring equipmentMeasure various features and holes on a part or component and determine if the part is acceptable to customer requirementsInterpret operation sheets and blueprints to understand customer specificationsEnsure that all parts being inspected meet customer criteria for an acceptable partIf a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this taskEnsures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations
Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace industry or general manufacturing environment is a plusAbility to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical proceduresMust have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring toolsA strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
