Essential Functions Installs and tests computers and equipment, peripherals and software; Installs and configures printers; Installs, repairs, and troubleshoots PC's, Printers, Electronic Technology peripherals as dictated by everyday business needs; Resolves help desk issues for users. Additional Duties:Executes routine computer repairs and installation;Performs related work as assigned. QualificationsCollege level course work in management information systems, computer science, or a related field. Related experience may substitute for education requirement on a year-to-year basis. No specific experience required. Any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following: Physical Exam Required Valid Current Driver's License*** Critical Infrastructure: This position has been determined to have close contact with, or control of Critical Infrastructure components. This position is subject to extensive background checks and random drug screening. ******No Class B Misdemeanor convictions within last 10 years******No Class A Misdemeanor, Felony Convictions or Family Violence Conviction*** Knowledge and AbilitiesKnowledge of:Windows compatible devices including workstations, laptops, and tablets. Ability to:Communicate effectively orally and in writing; Work effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment, meet deadlines; Coordinate with co-workers as a team member; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with end users. Physical Requirements:Frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds;Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds;Frequently bend and kneel during the shift;Frequently push and pull objects;Frequently flex upper trunk forward at the waist and partially at the knees;Frequently rotate upper trunk to the left or right while sitting or standing;Place arms above, at, and below shoulder height. Part-time employees who have at least six (6) months continuous employment may be paid for all holidays except the Veterans Day floating holiday. Part-time employees are not eligible for the Veteran's Day floating holiday because City offices are not closed on that day. The number of hours granted these employees as holiday pay is based on the average number of hours normally worked in a day.
