We are looking for team players who want the freedom to innovate leading edge capabilities to join our growing Cybersecurity team.Responsibilities:The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to assess its completeness and the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures. The Cybersecurity Analyst will collaborate with teams to identify areas for improvement and help shape strategies to enhance the organizations overall security posture.Job DutiesAssist in the development, refinement, and maintenance of cybersecurity metrics and reportsCollect data from various sources; leverage existing tools and technologies to combine data sets and identify patterns/trendsDemonstrated ability to research security publications, intelligence feeds, and other valuable data sources to gather and identify the latest Cyber Security themes and how they impact the organization, including litigation risks, growing risk, and concerns with technologyDevelop and generate reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate cybersecurity metrics and insights to stakeholders, including senior leadership and technical teamsAssist with implementing automation and scripting techniques to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processesInitiate, facilitate and promote Cybersecurity within the organization and monitor adherence to Cybersecurity policies, standards and controlsAdvocate for Cybersecurity as an essential business requirement and advocate the business need as the foundation for Cybersecurity program designEnsure effective communication and partnership with all departments at GMF and serve as a liaison of Cybersecurity and first point of contact for Cybersecurity concernsEngage with business partners to translate high-level business requirements into enterprise security initiatives and programs to achieve the GMF's mission, goals and objectives
Qualifications:What makes a dream candidate?Must have a high-level understanding of financial services industry, security, risk and privacyMust have current knowledge and stay up-to-date on the latest Cybersecurity legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilitiesMust have knowledge of Information Security and Cybersecurity frameworksAdvanced knowledge of data visualization, scripting, and automation tools such as SQL, Python and PowerBI Desktop and ServicesAbility to write and debug scripts for automation, data analytics/analysis, and custom tool creationKnowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards, and industry practicesKnowledge information technology systems, infrastructure, and operationsUnderstanding of cloud technologies and conceptsFamiliarity with DevOps and Agile development processAbility to clearly explain and articulate technical concepts using non-technical languageAbility to manage business and technical relationships with internal and external clientExperience & EducationBachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred1-5 years of demonstrable experience leading collaborative programs and projects with senior level management required1-5 years of experience in large and complex business environments with a successful track record working directly with senior level management with working knowledge in one or more of the following domains: Access Control, Cybersecurity Governance, Risk Management, Software Development Security, Security Architecture and Design, Operational Security, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, IT or Security Audit, IT or Security Compliance preferred1-5 years of experience in the financial services industry preferredWhat We Offer:
