firstPRO is now accepting resumes for a Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer role in Boston, MA. This is a direct hire role and onsite 3 days per week.The Sr. Microsoft Platform Engineer will be part of the Global IT Infrastructure organization. This position will engage with all Information Technology teams supporting the unique Bain Capital business units and supporting Microsoft cloud platforms firm wide, in addition to other related responsibilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Contributes to and supports the enterprise Azure / O365 strategy, standards and best practicesManage and support Exchange Online, Intune device management and AzureADCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them to generate appropriate systems design architecture documentationUse knowledge of identity and access management in on-premises solutions and the cloud inclusive of Azure AD Connect and third-party identity providersDeep understanding of Active Directory, Group policies and DNSArchitectural understanding of M365 security constructs and data protections such as DLP, RMS/IRM, Azure Information ProtectionDevelop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams, designed to increase productivityParticipate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost effectiveness and high availability in the cloudCreate and implement automation in the form of infrastructure as codeEnsure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standardsQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field5+ years IT experience with 2+ years Azure/O365 experience requiredExperience scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languageExperience with orchestration and configuration management tools including Terraform, Ansible, or equivalentSolid understanding of complex global networking topologies and zero-trust firewalling practices.=Strong passion for technology, a willingness to learn new skills and the ability to evangelize the uses of cloud servicesSelf-motivated and self-directed, ability to translate technical direction into functional solutionsAbility to work effectively in a globally distributed team, managing multiple priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams
