Design Engineering Internship

RING & SEAL DIVISION

We have an opportunity available for a Design Engineering Student to join us for the Fall 2024 semester.

The SKF Ring & Seal Engineering Internship program

is organized to involve the individuals in the design, development, manufacturing, and quality assurance of high-performance mechanical sealing solutions. The individual will apply learned concepts to dedicated and on-going projects, as well as learn new skills to achieve the determined goals.

The selected intern will work with the design engineering team and be assigned a main project to be completed within the specified time. Mentors will assign tasks, provide guidance, and review progress of projects. This position is ideal forstudents in their Sophomore year and above.

Due to the nature of the business, candidate must be a US Citizen.

The primary location for this position is

Hanover, PA.

The Aerospace Business Unit is responsible for Aerospace applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. We produce

for the Aerospace and Industrial markets. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

:The intern will be responsible for performing the following, including, but not limited to:

Work with mentor(s) on a multi-week assigned project.

Support design, manufacturing, and quality engineering with assigned projects and tasks.

Support research and development testing with test sub-system design and validation.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

Attending a four-year institution for mechanical engineering.

GPA of 2.75 or better.

Experience with 3D CAD, SolidWorks preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication.

Experience with hand tools and safety equipment preferred.

Due to the nature of the business, candidate must be a US Citizen.
