As a diversified, national organization, Centene's technology professionals have access to competitive benefits including a fresh perspective on workplace flexibility.**Position Purpose:**Designs methods to enable the identification, protection against, and detection of cyber threats, contributing to cyber assessments by analyzing collected logs and packet captures. Assesses target network computer network defense (CND) posture, time-lining intrusions through the evaluation of compromised systems, and developing applications to improve the quality of security assessments. Introduces novel threat hunting techniques. Provides subject matter expertise to security and technical teams regarding the organization's threat exposure and attack surface.+ Gathers intelligence, process incoming information, reports, and messages to determine the significance and reliability of incoming enterprise-wide information.+ Identifies and investigate new vulnerabilities, translates the analysis into actionable intelligence and sets up detection and alerting rules on cyber platforms as necessary.+ Reviews past incidents, identify cyber-attack trends, and provide trend analysis and reporting.+ Collaborates with internal teams to help improve the overall security posture of our organization based on threat intelligence.+ Maintains systematic, cross-reference intelligence records and documentation.+ Discovers cyber-related threats from various threat intelligence sources.+ Monitors the technologies and processes employed by cyber threat actors.+ Supports all phases of the incident response and detection life cycle, specifically as it pertains to applying cyber threat intelligence to improve threat detection techniques, visibility, and event analysis.+ Researches information security and intelligence matters supporting other departments with related knowledge and expertise.+ Collaborates in cyber security exercises such as penetration testing.+ Performs other duties as assigned.+ Complies with all policies and standards.**Education/Experience:**A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).Requires 4 6 years of related experience.Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.**Technical Skills:**+ One or more of the following skills are desired:+ Knowledge of Other: Tools, techniques and processes (TTP) used by threat actors+ Experience with Other: Endpoint protection and enterprise detection & response software (such as CrowdStrike or Carbon Black)+ Knowledge of Other: Common frameworks for threat intelligence (Diamond model, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, etc.)+ Experience with Other: Threat intelligence management platforms (such as Splunk) for management and distribution of Indicators of Compromise / Indicators of Attacks (IOC/IOAs)**Soft Skills:**+ Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty+ Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions+ Intermediate - Ability to work independently+ Intermediate - Demonstrated analytical skills+ Intermediate - Demonstrated project management skills+ Intermediate - Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure+ Intermediate - Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills**License/Certification:**+ Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) or similar cybersecurity certifications preferred but not requiredPay Range: $83,600.00 - $155,000.00 per yearCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
