IT Developer - Dublin, CA
Job Summary:
The Developer role is a valuable team member helping to support and deliver the companies technology solutions. This role is first and foremost a developer but must be able to work with our business partners and vendors to understand new requirements and operational issues. They will design, implement and integrate new applications that align to the company strategies. Retail technology experience is a plus, but not required.
Key Accountabilities:Design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications and microservicesEnsure that applications meet business and end-user requirementsUse best practices, building highly scalable and fault-tolerant applicationsIntegrate applications with cloud-based databasesLeverage cloud-based storage servicesCollaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the development and testing of new software programs and applicationsDocument system design and application support documentationIdentify and communicate system issues and presents potential resolutions to leadershipIntegrate the proper use of security, logging and monitoring into the software developmentWork with third party vendors to implement, integrate or troubleshoot issuesChampion and ensure compliance with organizational standards, practices and methodologiesPerforms other duties as assignedHiring pay range: $115,764.00 - 119,017.00
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Python programming with deep understanding of best practices and design patternsExtensive experience with AWS Cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudFormationUnderstanding and experience with databases (like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL & NoSQL) and stored proceduresExperience with Google Cloud Platform, including Composer and Cloud FunctionsExperience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch or PrometheusStrong understanding of System-as-a-Service (SaaS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Public Clouds, Node.js & Angular.JSExperience in developing and implementing systems interfaces, leveraging techniques such as SFTP, ESB, API integrationsAbility to build applications using Web Service Solution Stacks like LAMP and equivalents.Experienced in Agile project methodology.Experience working with source control in a multi-contributor environment (Git, SVN, etc.), including understanding how to effectively utilize established workflowsExcellent analytical, planning and organization/time management skillsExperience providing technical leadership and mentorshipGood communication skills - written, verbal, interpersonal, and collaborativeExperience required in a multi-discipline project and troubleshooting environmentPREFERRED:
Java experience would be a plus.Experience in AWS serverless technologies including DynamoDBKnowledge of container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like KubernetesExperience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline
Education:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related experience. Certifications in AWS (Solutions Architect, Developer) or GCP (Cloud Engineer, Architect) preferred
