ECU Health Physicians and Carteret Health Care are partnering together to expand and are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care or Physician Assistant for a unique role providing care for newborn infants and pediatric patients, at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC with a monthly on-site rotation at ECU Health Maynard Children's Hospital in Greenville, NC for high-risk resuscitation skills and competency maintenance.Highlights include:Employment by ECU Health PhysiciansHospital privileges at Carteret Hospital and the ECU Health Maynard Children s HospitalSupport and continuous competency training provided by Maynard Children s Hospital at ECU Health Medical CenterAverage of 12 x 24 hour shifts per month with return to the Children's Hospital for continued competency for an average of 24 hours per quarterClinical responsibilities when providing coverage will include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients and attendance all at risk deliveries and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as neededTransfer support provided by ECU Health Medical CenterCompetitive Compensation and Comprehensive Benefits to include: Administrative Stipend, Relocation, PTO, Malpractice/Tail Coverage, 401k matching/457, Medical, Dental & Vision, Disability & Life Insurance.Job Requirements include:Experienced PNP-AC or Physician Assistant- At least 2 years of NICU ExperienceNC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician AssistantNational Board Certification as a Pediatric NP-AC, or as PA required, including maintenance2+ years of experience in health care settingApplicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart AssociationCarteret Health CareCarteret Health Care is an independent, 135-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Morehead City minutes from historic Beaufort, Atlantic Beach, and Shackleford Banks, where the wild horses roam.
