DevOps Systems Engineer, Platform Storage Engineering

The Platform Storage Engineering team is looking for a seasoned systems engineering leader to help build & scale Tesla’s Cloud Storage Platform. This platform plays a vital role in providing infrastructure services as managed services, powering everything from the datacenter to the factory floor. In this role, you will design & develop core infrastructure configuration management systems and CI/CD pipelines that enable Tesla to scale faster and securely. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Linux, as well as API-driven development with Python or Shell.Play a big part in maintaining our growing Linux fleet and solve problems though automationCollaborate with our global datacenter, cloud, networking, and load balancing teams to develop a world-class, secure, and fault-resilient storage layer for our workloadsPropel systems automation, configuration management, and provisioning standardization processesWork with Infosec on continually reinforcing secure by defaultInfluence architectural decisions with a focus on security, scalability and high-performanceAuthor technical documentation, reference architectures, policies, and best practices for our platformsProficiency with Python or BashProficiency with Linux systems fundamentalsExperience working with containers and a strong understanding of container architecturesExcellent communication skills to collaborate with teams globallySelf-driven with an analytical, first principles mindset and a bias for actionBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or proof of exceptional skills in related field

Expected Compensation$140,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
