Help Desk Technician (Tier 1)
Marketing By Design is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our small but agile IT team.
The post is full-time with the option for hybrid working after onboarding in our Beverly Office.
Please note that hybrid in this role means you must be prepared to report on-site with short notice
when critical maintenance or other urgent tasks require your presence.
You will work Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.30pm and report to the IT Systems Manager.
As a Help Desk Technician, you will provide technical assistance to users, answering questions and resolving IT issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills and demonstrate expertise in working with Apple hardware and software, a positive professional attitude and be a good communicator who can build trust and confidence with the internal team. The position can be a busy and challenging one and requires a calm head, clear communication and a strong attention to detail.
There is also opportunity for growth via projects outside of the primary role based on business needs.
Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact and resolution for technical (IT) issuesProperly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support in a timely mannerInstall, modify, and repair computer hardware and softwareInstall computer peripherals for usersTrain users on hardware and software as neededEnsure proper tracking, documentation, and closure of help desk ticketsCoordinate print jobs, assist with printing operations, and provide maintenance and support for Epson large-format commercial printers in the Beverly officeCollaborate with the internal team and strive to improve the user experiencePreferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Degree in Information Systems is preferred but experience may substitute for education.Proficiency with Apple macOS and Apple hardware is essential.Familiarity with Adobe Creative SuiteTech savvy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Remote Desktop Software, Active Directory/LDAP, Antivirus and Desktop SecurityFamiliarity with Linux preferred but not required1+ years of providing help desk support is preferred but not required.
