Job Description:Position; GCP ArchitectLocation: Providence, Rhode Island (Hybrid)GCP Architect Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced GCP Architect to take charge of the Implementation, maintenance and management of our clients cloud computing strategy. The primary responsibility of this role will be building and overseeing cloud systems, including servers, storage, and network infrastructure. The GCP Architect will collaborate closely with IT teams across the organization to enhance and optimize our cloud infrastructure performance. If you are a proactive cloud architect who is passionate about the latest technology, we invite you to apply and be a part of our growing success.Duties and responsibilitiesCreate a well-informed cloud strategy and maintain the adaptation processEvaluate cloud applications, hardware, and softwareIdentify the best cloud architecture solutions to meet the companys needs and business requirementsLead the adoption of new cloud technologies and establish best practices for themDesign cloud environments with a focus on GCP aligned with Azure and AWS as part of client Multi cloud strategyDesign cloud infrastructures running in 24/7 environmentsDesign and implement IaaS and PaaS solutions including well architect GCP Landing zone as part of Multi cloud strategyPlan, design, and deploy complex application workloads on the Google Cloud platformDevelop enterprise cloud guidelines and automationsOversee the organizations cloud computing strategy, including adoption plans, management, and monitoringOversee all aspects of the GCP environment, including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and securityDevelop and organize cloud systemsImplement systems, solutions, and processes to manage cloud costs, scalability, redundancy, and continuous validationManage and monitor cloud-based applications and servicesCollaborate with IT security to monitor cloud privacyCollaborate with architecture, DevOps, data, and integration teams to ensure best practices are followed throughout cloud adoptionRespond to technical issuesProvide thought leadership related to GCP and cloud infrastructureServe as a technical advisor for customers with complex cloud infrastructure and networking challengesProvide hands-on leadership for cloud migration and adoption from inception to productionDevelop enterprise cloud guidelines and automation in compliance with business needs and security best practicesProvide mentorship and guidance to implementation teams responsible for delivering and deploying designed architectureSkill and Experience10+ years of experience in an IT role5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, Solutions or systems engineeringExperience leading large-scale GCP env set up including Landing zone wrt to Multi cloud strategyExperience with identity management and networking segmentation across multiple VPC networks and projectsExperience leading large-scale network migrations to GCPExperience establishing technical strategy and architecture at the enterprise levelExperience with one or more third-party networking productsExperience leading GCP Cloud project deliveryExperience working with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, or TerraformExpertise in GCP servicesKnowledge of security, identity, and access managementKnowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP/SKnowledge of network security design including segmentation, encryption, logging, and monitoringKnowledge of network topologies, load balancing, and segmentationKnowledge of programming languages including Python, Ruby, and JavaScriptKnowledge of cloud technologies like API Management, Identity Management, and/or VMwareStrong communication, presentation, and leadership skillsExperience establishing enterprise-level technical strategy and architectureExperience with scalable networking design, including high availability, redundancy, fail-over, and load balancingExperience with at least one third-party networking productExpertise in Google Cloud Platform services such as Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, and/or Cloud InterconnectExperience of OpenShift is mustStrong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts for a non-technical audience
