Our flexible working schedule allows our employees to work from home up to two days a week, while our Central Bark program encourages employees to bring their dogs to work on the days they are in the office.POSITION SUMMARY:Under limited supervision, the Systems Analyst will focus on gathering data and performing support and analysis activities related to business applications with a specialized emphasis on residential real estate systems, including Yardi. The role involves making recommendations based on moderate technical competency, assisting in the design and testing of applications and integrations, and providing support and training to end-users. The Systems Analyst will also assist in coordinating project management activities and work towards implementing effective solutions.While in this role you will gain advanced knowledge of the Real Estate Industry through supporting key applications, processes, and data insights essential in maximizing the operating potential of our assets. You will have the ability to be creative in addressing various challenges and participate in strategic projects within the IT Department while working on innovative projects and collaborating with a dynamic team fostering your professional growth.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Provide business application support and plan for rollout of enhancements to existing applications. Define system requirements, priorities, and recommend viable alternatives. Coordinate the efforts of internal and external team members to locate, assess, install, test, and maintain applications.Perform analysis tasks and make recommendations in technical areas.Provide technical training, guidance, and resource support to end users and departmental staff.Serve as liaison between technical teams, external vendor teams and business users.Manage change management protocols and maintain proper documentation in accordance with SOX guidelines.Troubleshoot interface issues between business applications.Coordinate data conversions and upgrades to applications.Develop user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems and provide training on an as needed basis.Interface and coordinate work with internal/external auditors and other consultants as needed.Continue to develop professional skills in information systems and real estate fields through trade magazines, manuals, seminars and continuing education courses.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS):Experience in residential property management systems analysis and/or programming with some project management responsibilities preferred.Bachelor's degree in Accounting Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields preferred.Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing analysis tasks.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Must have the ability to prioritize, communicate and organize small projects of varying complexity, frequently under deadline pressure.Must be adaptable to change and quickly learn new software and adapt to new technologies.Positive attitude, flexible and able to work independently and in a team setting, successfully interacting with business users and non-technical personnel.JBG SMITH is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
