Job Description
The System Analyst (Technical) role involves providing technical and strategic support to Program Managers (PMs) in the development of new program concepts, technologies, and initiatives in alignment with the ARPA-H mission. The candidate will play a key role in assisting with the creation of strategic and technical plans, researching new ideas, tracking program progress, and supporting Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) management efforts. This position requires strong technical acumen, project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of program lifecycles to ensure successful program development and execution.
Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with PMs to research, develop, and provide expert recommendations for new programs, concepts, and technologies.Assist in developing strategic and technical plans to further the ARPA-H mission, including supporting the development of new start briefings.Provide technical input to guide the direction of new program initiatives and contribute to the preparation of briefings for new PMs.Track the technical progress and deliverables of ongoing programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with program goals.Serve as a liaison between Government agents, performers, and the technical community, providing PMs with detailed updates on technical progress, challenges, and overall program health.Ensure that program tasks, status reports, and cost/schedule performance reports are consistent with the objectives of each program, study, or SBIR effort.Assist in the preparation and review of program management briefings, ensuring technical approaches, organizational resources, and management controls are well-documented and aligned with cost, performance, and schedule requirements.Support the review and documentation of technical progress during program reviews, tracking milestones, funding profiles, and deliverables to ensure successful program execution.Job Requirements:
PhD in Chemistry or related scientific field.14+ years of experience in technical program support, preferably in a federal or research environment.Experience in supporting technical programs, particularly in program management and SBIR-related initiatives.Strong organizational skills and experience tracking deliverables, milestones, and program status reports.Ability to provide expert recommendations and support in the development of new program concepts and technologies.Must-Have:
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Tier-2 Public Trust Clearance.Experience coordinating and tracking program-related taskers and deadlines.Strong calendar management skills and proficiency in managing multiple priorities.Knowledge of federal documentation and reporting requirements.
