Senior Accountant ( Privet Equity)
The position will be predominantly focused on cash and invoice management. The position requires an ability to meet critical deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor and welcoming environment for internal and external parties. The Senior Accountant must work well independently and in group settings with limited supervision. Client is seeking a self-starter possessing strong work ethic, ability to question the status quo, and an eagerness to learn. Opportunities for advancement exist as the successful candidate will be encouraged to pursue broader responsibilities within Finance as time goes on.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Manage the invoice payment process for all three of our Corporate locations
* Allocate expenses incurred by the Manager on behalf of its Funds in accordance with governing documents and U.S. GAAP
* Manage the Corporate expense reporting process for all employees in accordance with our Compliance Manual
* Answer questions from employees regarding the application of expense allocation policy
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations on 5 Corporate bank accounts
* Assist in the quarter-end close process including (preparing journal entries and accruals and ensure all journal entries are properly supported)
* Properly record and maintain Corporate fixed assets for all three of our Corporate locations
* Calculate the quarterly use tax payment due
* Gather documentation and support for external auditors for year-end audits
* Answer accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting data
Requirements
Minimum requirements for the Senior Accountant position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting with recent private experience
* Familiarity with online banking platforms and ability to enter wire payments independently
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong organizational skills with an impeccable attention to detail
* Ability to work with and for a variety of colleagues with demonstrated success working in a team environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office-Word and Excel
In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, the following are highly desired:
* Direct experience with management of expense reporting
* Direct experience with accounts payable
