Overview:
i3 is pursuing the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) competitive effort. The mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection. We are currently reviewing candidate resumes for Systems Administrators in the Huntsville, AL area. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day maintenance, patching and ensuring STIG compliance by monitoring, testing performance, troubleshooting OS, resolving hardware and software problems, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with other engineers on network / system optimization. Demonstrate understanding of how software behaves in order to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems. Research new technologies and leverages optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate efficiently. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree. Years of relevant experience requirements for each level:
Level I: 0-5, Level II: 6-11. Level III: 12+
Experience installing new or rebuilding existing servers both physical and virtual, and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage through Agile methodologies. Experience with transitioning on-premise applications and software to the government hybrid-cloud solution and maintaining DoD approved cloud service providers to provide information technology services and capabilities to include high performance computing, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Data as a Service (DaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) Cloud Service Offerings (CSOs). Must have Security+, comparable certificate, or ability to achieve 8570/8140 compliance. Active Secret clearance required. U.S. Citizenship is required. Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of office administration and procedures. Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully. Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Work independently with accountability for accurate and complete results. Be extremely organized and exceptionally detail oriented. Work well both independently and in a team environment. Be energized by a fast-paced work environment. Must be able to communicate with others effectively. Analyze information and respond appropriately. Manage time wisely and prioritize tasks. Provide superior customer service.? Multi-task in a pleasant manner. Work well under pressure. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
