Whether you will spend your day in an office cubicle, operating a crane or running the melt shop at one of our mills, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoOperates the shear to cut product to appropriate lengthOperate a straightener to straighten products off the millPunch special shapes into various sized angles using a punch pressOperate a forklift to move material and supplies as requiredOperate cutting torch for operational needsWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times including proper wearing of company PPEParticipate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety CultureResponsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work areaAny other tasks as assigned by supervisorWhat You'll NeedMust be able to work rotating shifts which may include days, nights, weekends and holidaysAble to work overtime as business requiresDemonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needsAbility to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spacesAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skillsMust be able to learn quickly and multitaskBasic computer skillsStrong communication skills required.
