Responsibilities:
Business Support and Consulting:
Define standard processes in PowerPlan and drive adaptation in Finance and Tax areas. nalyze end-to-end complex business processes across all modules within PowerPlan. Understand in detail the current and future business environment of the business organizations; effectively anticipate, identify, and fully meet the business needs using an integrated approach leveraging existing and new PowerPlan capabilities. Identify, propose, and influence IT solutions to complex cross- organizational business problems utilizing ERP capabilities; negotiate requirements and deliverables across multiple business and IT customers and organizations. Evaluate current customizations in the system to help business and IT partners understand risks and costs of customizing vs. using standard functionalities, advocating for using standard functionalities to lower future implementation cost and total cost of ownership (Client) for solutions. Functional Analysis:
utomate/optimize PowerPlan system. Map business requirements to SAP S4 system capabilities and configure to meet requirements. Review design and technical specification documents for alignment with business solution. Perform PowerPlan configuration and do quality review and testing activities Qualifications Minimum:
10 years of job-related experience in Information Technology. 8 years of experience as a Functional Analyst in PowerPlan system. Desired:
Familiarity with CR, PM, Asset/ARO, Depr modules and their data flow. Project creation, estimating, approval. Collecting and classifying charges (derivations and true-up). In-service and completion of work orders. PowerTax and Tax Repairs. Creating checks and balances to prevent data issues in automated processes. Lease Accounting Module** (if Client uses PowerPlan). Month-End Close Processes. PowerPlan Integration Tools. SDLC and Integration Best Practices/ETL processes. dditional Desired:
SAP. Familiarity with SAP tables and structure. SAP GUI experience and documenting integrations. Hana Experience. SAP settlement process and integration impacts with PowerPlan/capital projects S4HANA ERP Implementation and Upgrades. Large ERP projects, integrations with forecasting and FP&A systems. Dashboarding tools for metric tracking. Functional Skills:
ccounting Concepts in Asset Management/Depreciation. Mass property accounting. Group depreciation. Various asset retirement methods. RO accounting. Book vs. tax depreciation. GAAP vs. FERC Accounting Concepts. FERC system of accounts and new accounts for renewables and Software/hardware/ communications equipment effective 01/2025. FUDC/CPI/capitalized interest. Managing differing capitalization/recovery schedules for GAAP vs. FERC. xx cases, depreciation studies, and supporting documentation for assets in GRC - Clauses and tracking recovery costs separately from normal xx base assets. Mergers and Acquisitions/Divestitures. Non-Technical Skills:
Interacting with both technical and non-technical team members to resolve issues. Communicating success/failure stories to management teams.
