Job Description

Hedge Fund Operations Senior Associate (Middle Office Operations)

You will be working directly with leading private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset industry under the guidance and direction from our experienced team of industry veterans. You will be facilitating our service offering by assisting, performing, and reviewing the following:

Responsibilities:Preparing daily position and trade reconciliations between clients' books and records and their Prime Brokers'Working with clients and prime brokers on trade break resolutionsPreparing monthly tri-party position, cash, market value and accrual reconciliationsPreparing monthly performance estimates for COO clientsReview monthly Administrator NAV Packages and make updates to the portfolio accounting system if necessaryBuild and maintain fund accrual schedulesProcessing Corporate Actions for securities held in client portfolios, including cash and stock dividends, stock splits, and mergers and acquisitionsProviding support for the conversion of new clients (middle office), including providing training to clients on technology and processesQualifications

Bachelor's Degree RequiredBS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field3-5 years of total experience within the financial services industry. Middle office experience working with hedge funds is preferredGeneral knowledge of and familiarity with financial instruments (i.e., equities, fixed income, options, swaps, futures, foreign exchange) within both domestic and global securities marketsMust have attention to detail and ability to multi-taskStrong written and verbal communication skills, including client relationship managementStrong working knowledge of hedge funds and/or mutual fundsHard-working, dedicated, punctual and personableStrong research and writing skillsStrong accounting and analytical skillsStrong computer skills: Advanced Excel, Portfolio Accounting Systems (Enfusion, Geneva, etc.)
