We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's inventory general ledger subsystems and manufacturing data, as well as providing profit margin analysis for financial reporting and decision-making.

Your key responsibilities will include:Maintain and improve cost accounting systems and proceduresPerform cost variance analysis, including PPV, labor, overhead, and material variancesMaintain and update standard costs of raw materials, labor, and overheadMonitor and report on cost performance and identify areas for improvementAssist budgeting and forecasts team with items related to inventory and cost accountingSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary cost-related data and analysisMaintain G/L accounts for inventory across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with accounting standardsPerform inventory reconciliations at period end and investigate variances accordinglyCoordinate annual and periodic physical inventory counts with the inventory team to ensure accuracyPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reportsParticipate in special projects as needed, providing support to financial initiativesExperience & Education:
Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Masters preferred.CPA preferred.Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, with 2-4 years specializing in cost accounting.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with ERP type accounting software.
Pay:
Starting range with bonus: $80k-$100k. Plus up to $1k/month wellness stipend and other benefits.
