This position will work directly with agency management, business users and contractors to provide guidance and improved user experience on the development, analysis, definition, testing, documentation, and deployment of SharePoint Online sites and other M365 functions that support the States business objectives, compliance policies and governance standards.**Job Description**We are looking for a **M365 Software Specialist** to develop work methods and procedures with agency partners using M365 tools, including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Forms, Power Platform concepts and other M365 functions. This position will be **full-time** and **remote.****What You'll Do**+ Provides oversight and assistance to agency partners and/or project members on the development and implementation of internal SharePoint Online or TEAMS functionality (while adhering to established compliance and governance standards/policies) with forms, web parts, and related application/cloud technologies+ Schedules, conducts and/or participates in staff development by educating end-users and technical support staff on SharePoint capabilities and other M365 functions; coordinates and/or conducts enterprise-wide training as needed+ Assists/leads the M365 technical team with the implementation of data conversions/migrations and global standards such as, but not limited to, data retention and data classification tags, records management, the management of data loss prevention (DLP) rules and establishes configuration standards relative to meta data (Term Store) for improved use, data searches, and eDiscovery processes+ Supports continuous improvement of operational, compliance, and governance standards through agency partner process analysis, and by developing and documenting procedures, projects and future operations, and participates in SharePoint/M365-related agency projects as a subject matter expert and/or as needed+ Recommends/designs/develops automated solutions using Power Platform when appropriate.+ Works with agency partners to analyze, identify and document business problems, needs, and requirements. Recommends and documents detailed specifications and standards for SharePoint solutions to meet State agencies business initiatives/problems+ Provides guidance to new and enhanced SharePoint proposed solutions to support conducting user needs assessments, maintaining compliance with existing standards and providing agencies with guidance on needed operational resources to document and operate solutions+ Provides support in user/technical community with development planning and the change request process. Responds to special needs/problem situations as required on a priority basis**What You'll Need**Required:+ Proficient understanding of the Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace platform and its collaboration/integration tools/solutions, especially Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform+ Ability to write clear and structured technical documents; assist with change management and technological adoption; explain M365 products and services from a non-technical/solution perspective; and work with strategic, technical, and agency partners to ensure compliance, governance, processes, and support is user-friendly and easily understood by both technical and non-technical business partners+ Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently+ Command a solid understanding of PMI and Agile project management praxes and the ability to conduct business analysis with agency partners to identify business needs/problems prior to jumping into the solutioning realm+ Ability to evaluate present systems, organize data and develop new solutions and procedures based on user input, system constraints, and prioritized responses+ Ability to communicate effectively with various department and division representatives+ Ability to reduce problems to basic details+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, superiors, associates and with representatives from other state departments+ Ensure technical knowledge and understanding on Microsoft products is kept up to date and relevant+ 5 years of broad general experience with M365 online including TEAMS, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, and new technical introductions into the platform+ 5 years' experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise and group solutions within the M365 platform+ 5 years' experience working with users to gather requirements and provide consultative guidance on best practices and solutions in an M365 online environment+ 5 years' experience with the development of web-based design and interfaces, and detailed SharePoint development understanding+ 5 years' experience developing workflows within the M365 online environment inclusive of SharePoint+ Excellent knowledge of hosted environments, offerings and best practices+ 5 years' experience of solid foundational knowledge of Microsoft backend technologies including MS SQL Server, and SharePoint native tools+ 5 years' experience with source control tools (no specific tool experience required)+ 5 years' experience with M365 migration tools and executing migrations.
