Amentum is currently seeking a Cloud Developer I.
The Cloud Developer I position is a part of a team that maintains and improves a mission-critical application located in the AWS Gov Cloud. The team is fully cloud-based and focuses on the automation of all tasks utilizing a CI/CD pipeline. This pipeline includes an automated transfer of data/projects to multiple domains via a cross-domain solution. The team utilizes agile methodologies to plan projects and tasks and break them down into 2-week sprints. The team is made up of cloud engineers and developers working closely together to complete projects. We are looking for engineers/developers that want to implement and learn cutting-edge cloud technologies and services to support our customer and their multiple national security missions.
This developer will work with guidance from the Project Manager and Development leads to accomplish requirements associated with supporting agile development projects. This role is focused on AWS Cloud Development, with a focus on automation and site reliability (DevOps). The person will be responsible for managing specific tasks and ensuring solutions and schedules are implemented promptly. They will possess the ability to manage, track and report on the accomplishments of the work assigned.
This position is a hybrid position with two days onsite at our customer’s location in Washington DC and allows for 3 days a week of remote work. Additional onsite days are only required based on mission need.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
Minimum 5 years of work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience developing comprehensive and innovative technical solutions.
Minimum 1 year experience with Amazon, Microsoft, or Google cloud solutions.
Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications into a cloud platform.
Experience with software design and implementation in Python or another mainstream object-oriented or multi-paradigm programming language.
Experience in Java Development
Experience in Python Scripting
Experience working with a CI/CD Pipeline
Clearance Required:
TS/SCI Eligible
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
Minimum Years of Experience:
Minimum 5 years of work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience developing comprehensive and innovative technical solutions
Minimum 1 year experience with Amazon, Microsoft, or Google cloud solutions.
Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications into a cloud platform.
AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is acceptable substitute for 1 year cloud development experience.
Preferred:
Experience administering/patching Windows Servers
Proven ability to use all Microsoft Office tools
Excellent written communication skills
Must be able to work in a team environment
