General Purpose
The Finance Specialist is responsible to analyze, report and provide guidance to the Leaders in Coca-Cola Southwest Beverage on their operational expense. This role is responsible for managing OPEX spend through analysis and auditing.
Duties and Responsibilities
OPEX Budget & Forecast Process:
Assist in the Budget and Forecast processParticipates in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processProvide Financial insight to OPEX results on a Monthly/Quarterly/Annual perspectiveProviding support to the Finance ManagerOPEX Month End Close Process:
Provides month-end commentary related to OPEX finance results of Actuals vs PY, Budget and ForecastPrepare month-end entries including accruals and reclasses related to HQ OPEX and other role responsibilitiesPrepares HQ leadership financial reports for monthly financial review meetingsParticipates in HQ leadership monthly financial reviewOPEX Analysis:
Opex analysis reporting for key leadershipAnalyze and consolidate spend data from various sourcesPrepares monthly OPEX rollups for spend analysisSupport for Business Partners:
Quarterly & adhoc reporting using the Bottler Profitability ModelProvide ad-hoc financial support and reporting to key leadershipSupport achievement of EBITDA targets, primarily through analysis of resultsFollows the Charts of AuthorityEnsures consistency of accounting treatment and proper application of GAAP and Company financial policies to financial transactionsStrong analytical and critical thinking skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of managementOther duties and projects as assignedAuditing

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of Excel preferredFinancial AcumenReporting, General Ledger, Month/Quarter/Year End Close processExperience in the budgeting/planning process desiredMust be flexible and able to work with multiple projects with excellent attention to detail and deadlinesExperience with variance analysisMeticulous, initiative-taker with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
