A health system is seeking a gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage. While in southern Alabama, visit the Uninhabited Island Kayaking Adventure, tour the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, or explore Gulf Coast Dolphin Cruise. The candidate must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible, and the facility uses the Cerner EMR system. Most of the physicians time will be spent in the Endoscopy center, where they will be required to perform 10 procedures per day. In addition to procedures, the role involves minimal rounding and consults, as well as minimal emergency department coverage. The hospital has 170 beds, but most emergency or ED cases are sent to a nearby sister hospital.
