You have the ability to make a difference and advance your career through demonstrated leadership, welcoming new challenges, and recognizing the potential in others.Essential Functions and Primary DutiesThe Audit Senior will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day "in-charge" duties of planning, fieldwork and "wrap-up" to include the preparing of financial statements with disclosures, applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. This position is also responsible for acting as the client contact for basic questions and information and may be involved in reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements.Complete all aspects of audit engagements for clients including status updates to engagement managers and adhere to all quality control standards as requiredDemonstrate understanding of the client's business including analysis and planning of client engagementsAdhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested, explain variances when neededAchieve charge hour goalsReview associates' auditing work: provide constructive review pointsMay supervise Associate's on engagementsTrain and mentor associate staffMay be involved in the client billing process by assisting Managers or DirectorsIdentify and begin to develop knowledge in selected specialty practiceLeverage industry knowledge and business acumen blending cross serve opportunities into client engagementsParticipate in practice development activities such as: membership in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagementsAdditional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications3+ years of public accounting experienceBachelor's degree in accounting or financeCPA license, preferredDemonstrated technical abilities in select areas (audit, accounting, regulatory, compliance, etc.)Experience with audit planning, field work, and audit reporting; preparing reports, and communicating findings and recommendations to engagement managersExperience with both public and privately held companies, preferredPassion for maintaining/building client relationships, managing client expectations, while demonstrating knowledge of client businessesExperience managing multiple clients, budgets and production goalsAbility to travel overnight
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required3 years of experience in related fieldMust be able to work in a team environmentPresentation skills mandatoryMust possess analytical skillsProficient use of applicable technologyDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externallyMust be able to travel based on client and business needs
