The Sales Development Manager is responsible for leading our outbound/new business-focused team. You will be responsible for managing organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting and exceeding planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking goals, setting individual KPI targets, and facilitating the ongoing training and development of your salespeople.Responsibilities:
Build and Manage a High-Performing Team:
Recruit, hire, and develop a team focused on outbound prospecting and identifying qualified new business opportunities. Ensure the team consistently exceeds KPIsSales Pipeline Development:
Ensure that the sales pipeline remains full of qualified leads and prospects. Oversee the management of the sales pipeline to track and evaluate activities at each stage, from cold calling to closing dealsCoordinate Sales & Operations:
Work closely with sales, marketing and operations teams to assist reps in winning deals. Ensure seamless coordination to optimize sales development processes and outcomesMonitor and Motivate:
Monitor employee productivity and motivate the team to reach daily and monthly KPIs. Implement best practices in sales pipeline development to maintain high team morale and performanceCRM Management:
Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in Salesforce and HubSpot. Utilize CRM tools to manage and analyze sales activities and pipeline healthSupervise and Develop Team:
Supervise the team in accordance with company policies and procedures. Conduct employee interviews, orientations, and hiring of staff. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to enhance the team's skills and product knowledgeReporting:
Report to senior management on sales metrics and opportunities. Use data-driven insights to analyze performance and identify areas for improvementCustomer Understanding:
Develop a deep understanding of our ideal customers and how they relate to our products. Use this knowledge to tailor sales strategies and improve customer engagementQualifications:Bachelor's degree required2+ years of experience in sales, with at least 1+ years of experience managing and directing a sales teamProven track record in outbound sales and new business developmentExperience in planning and implementing aggressive outbound sales strategiesKnowledge of technical sales and manufacturing is a plusAbility to articulate value propositions and ROI to potential customersDedication to providing great customer service and building long-term customer relationshipsAbility to train, develop, grow, and lead a sales team to success. Eager and driven to exceed goalsAble to work onsite 3 days a week in our office
