Job Title: Radiation Therapist Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology - Radiation Therapist Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (09:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: [Details Not Provided] Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active Illinois license required or must have an active application in process Certifications: BLS, ARRT, and IEMA IL license required Must-Have: - Adult Outpatient experience Job Description: - Work 8 or 10-hour shifts each week based on departmental and unit needs. - Weekend work required as per department needs. - Required Pretreatment skills/experience in CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Custom Shield, Simulation of Treatment Sites, and Tumor Localization. - Required Treatment skills/experience for Benign Brain Tumors, Craniospinal, External Beam Therapy, Heterotopic Bone, IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, Keloids, Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials, Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Superior Vena Cava. - Provision of treatment to patients with various conditions, including Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, and Testicular Cancer. - General skills include Chart check, Emergency Cases, Field Shaping, IV starts, Lift/Transfer devices, Patient/Family teaching. - Professional knowledge of Isolation Precautions, Radiation Safety, and Use of Rapid Response/Code teams. - Facility is an Acute Care Hospital with a Level I trauma center. - Use the Cerner charting system. Experience with Cerner is required. - Flu Vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only. - First-timers not accepted. Previous experience in a similar role required.
