Our Unarmed Security Officers play a vital role by actively observing their surroundings, positively engaging with customers and associates, and responding to emergency situations.
We have locations in Del Rey Oaks, and Salinas! Please let us know in which location you are interested.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour/depending on experience.
Required Duties:
Perform security patrols of designated areas on footWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsCall police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articlesMonitor entrances and exits and permit authorized persons to enter propertyObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company propertyInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activitiesProvide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous mannerEssential Job Functions:
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for long periodsDuties may include sitting and standing or walking in inclement weather conditionsAbility to occasionally lift items not to exceed 20 pounds.Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferredExperience in retail, customer service and/or hospitalityExperience in securityCompetencies:
Demonstrate proficiency in sound decision making and defensive tacticsAbility to interact cordially and communicate with the publicActive listening skillsAbility to assess and evaluate situations effectivelyAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAttention to detailRequired Certifications:
Posses a BSIS Guard CardOther Misc. Requirements:
Must be 21 years of ageSelected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check.Minimum of 3 years experience in the security industryProfessional, tidy appearance and good personal hygieneMust be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts and store location assignmentsMust be on time and ready to work when scheduled with reliable transportationValid California Driver's License or State issued ID CardMust be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United StatesBenefits:
