Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Azure to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building data pipelines, working with Azure Synapse Analytics, and developing solutions using Azure Data Factory and SQL. This role requires the ability to design data flows, integrate structured and unstructured data, and provide meaningful analytics through reporting. Prior experience in building scalable data pipelines from scratch is essential, with a focus on enterprise-level data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:•Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines on Azure.•Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics for analytics and reporting needs.•Build scalable data solutions integrating various data sources.•Design data flows and ensure efficient transfer and usage of data across systems.•Leverage Azure Data Factory to orchestrate and automate data pipelines.•Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting.•Develop SQL-based solutions, including stored procedures (SProcs) and triggers.•Collaborate with teams to create effective reporting tools, utilizing Power BI for light reporting needs.•Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline and storage processes.•Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:•9+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with enterprise-level experience.•Expertise in Azure private/public cloud architecture.•Strong hands-on experience with SQL development in Azure SQL Data Warehouse (DW).•Proficiency with Azure Synapse Analytics.•Experience working with Azure Data Factory (ADF).•Ability to develop, maintain, and optimize complex data pipelines.•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain data flow, including data sources, use cases, and dependencies.•Experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
Preferred Qualifications:•Familiarity with Azure Functions and Event Grids.•Knowledge of event-driven architecture.•Basic understanding of Power BI for reporting purposes.•Strong analytical skills, with experience in Advanced SQL techniques.
Certifications (Preferred):•Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate•Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
