Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Job Specialty: Interventional Radiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 1 year with traveler experience required; not accepting first-time travelers. License: NC or Compact license pending is acceptable for submission; required in hand by start date. Certifications: BLS and ARRT Must-Have: - Neuro experience - Inpatient hospital experience - PACS, contrast - All IR procedures including: stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies - Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment Job Description: - Complete shifts with call, staggered start time between 0700 and 0830, for 8 hours/day from Monday to Friday. - Perform all required IR procedures. - Handle a daily case load of 13-17. - Participate in weekends and evenings/nights on-call rotation. - Engage in primary and backup call rotation as needed. - Work with a patient age group primarily consisting of adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents. - Must have required skills in both neuro (including stroke intervention) and body procedures. - Use special equipment including Siemens and Phillips; experience with Acuson is preferred. - Hospital orientation during the first week; availability for classes each day. Preferred Skills/Certifications/Experience: - ARRT advanced certification preferred. - EPIC and McKesson experience preferred. - Experience in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, teaching hospital, and community hospital settings. - Experience with ablations. Additional Information: - Scrubs are provided. - Candidates must interview prior to offer. - Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only. - Must be comfortable with possible floating to different units based on skill sets and census. - Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours in a week. - Modules for orientation required; hours vary by specialty.
