The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP ABAP development and a strong understanding of cloud technologies, specifically SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining custom SAP solutions that integrate both on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring seamless operations and enhanced business processes. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. Crawford Consulting is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Key Responsibilities:ABAP Development:• Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP, including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.• Optimize existing ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust SAP solutions.• Debug and resolve issues within existing SAP applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.• Cloud BTP Development & Architecture:• Architect and design cloud-based solutions on SAP BTP, leveraging services such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, and SAP HANA Cloud.• Develop and deploy applications using SAP BTP tools and technologies, including SAP Fiori and SAP UI5.• Lead the integration of on-premises SAP systems with SAP BTP to enable hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring a scalable and flexible architecture.• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant data protection standards within the cloud environment.• Define and optimize cloud architecture for new and existing solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business needs.• Integration & API Management:• Develop and manage APIs and integrations between SAP systems and external applications, using SAP Gateway, OData services, and other integration tools.• Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization between cloud and on-premises systems.• Architect end-to-end integration strategies for SAP and non-SAP systems to create unified and consistent business processes.Project Collaboration:• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time.• Participate in project planning, design sessions, and code reviews to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical standards.• Lead architectural design reviews to ensure optimal cloud implementation strategies and technical delivery.• Continuous Improvement:• Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and trends, particularly in cloud computing and SAP BTP.• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior developers and support their professional growth.• Advise on best practices and strategies for cloud architecture, ensuring optimal use of SAP BTP capabilities.Qualifications:• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including hands-on experience with Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.• 3+ years of experience working as an SAP BTP Cloud Architect, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).• Strong understanding of SAP architecture and the ability to integrate on-premises SAP systems with SAP BTP.• Proficiency in SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, CAP, and other relevant SAP BTP technologies.• Experience with SAP HANA, SAP Gateway, and OData services.• Proven experience in cloud architecture design and optimization, particularly in hybrid cloud environments.• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. Crawford Consulting is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.We’re looking for someone who’s as excited about this opportunity as we are.
