Come build your career with BAE Systems.BAE Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Lead to support the Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) product line, in the Countermeasures & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions business area. As an industry leader in EO/IR and RF technologies, ISS is dedicated to advancing multi-platform detection, tracking and defeat of incoming threats to support aircraft, ground vehicle and maritime survivability.In this role, you will:+ Lead a software development team working software implementation for our state-of-the-art threat detection solutions to include the 2-Color Advanced Warning System (2CAWS) and the AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) products.+ Work with program and engineering leadership teams to develop and implement strategic priorities for software development and sustainment.+ Develop, implement and drive software team processes and day-to-day workflow.+ Represent the software team at internal and customer meetings.+ Capture software knowledge through engineering design, lessons learned and product and process improvements.+ Work closely with the Software Engineering Leadership (SWEL) and Program Leadership.+ Collaborate with program management, engineering leadership and customers to understand the customer mission and needs.+ Work mainly onsite with the ability to telecommute occasionally.Who you are:+ You thrive in a collaborative team environment and enjoy hearing differing perspectives.+ You love leading technical teams in solving hard problems.+ You take pride in delivering quality in everything you do.+ You are able to distill and clearly communicate complex information.+ You drive yourself and your team to close tasks and meet commitments.**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**+ Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience+ Active Secret Level Clearance or higher+ Must have experience architecting large software systems+ Requires extensive background in embedded software development in C and C+ Software development experience in a Linux environment+ Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools+ Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams+ Experience working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), capturing knowledge in written form, and effectively transfer this knowledge to software engineering teams+ Strong technical leadership skills including excellent people skills, the ability to mentor, drive consensus, identify and track tasks, and drive closure_Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status._**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**+ Real-time embedded development+ Military systems or simulations+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering+ Active Top Secret Level Clearance**Pay Information**Full-Time Salary Range: $127900 - $217400Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
