Position: CNC VTL Machinist - Vertical Turning LatheEmployee Type: Full-Time (1st, 2nd & weekend shifts open)
Polamer Precision is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and team-oriented CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Machinist.Responsibilities:
Operating CNC Vertical, Horizontal machining and multi-axis milling centersSetup and run machines for productionInspecting parts to drawings requirementsTroubleshooting malfunctions when necessaryReporting needed repairsReview setup sheet and specifications to determine setup proceduresRead and understand blueprints a mustAdvanced math knowledgeOther duties as assignedQualifications:
Possess five (5) or more years' experience in aerospace industry, operating and set up knowledge of standard CNC controllers, i.e. CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal millsMust be familiar with FANUC & OSP controlsKnowledgeable of machining technologyMechanical principlesShop mathematicsMust have good verbal and written communication skillsMust read, write, and speak EnglishHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Completion of a CNC program preferredWork Environment:
While performing the duties for this job, alternating between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling.Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead craneMust be able to perform repetitive movements daily.Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on shop floorPossible risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts and may be required to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles.Assignment may require working on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials.Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data.Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 50 lbs.Benefits:
