What is a Sterile Processing Technician?
Sterile Processing Techs are responsible for ensuring all surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly decontaminated, disinfected, inspected, sterilized, inventoried and distributed in a quality and timely manner throughout the health system. We are responsible for use of technologies such as copier/scanner, internet, handheld devices, electronic medical records, instrument tracking systems, inventory management systems, email and Microsoft office. Our Techs enjoy working under close supervision with little autonomy.

Schedule:Evenings | 8-hour shiftsPart-time | 32-48 Hours every two weeks (more hours during initial training)Occasional weekends, and holidays rotate as needed.Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards)
Wage rates start at $17.06 per hour offering more with experience.Evening shift differential is + $1.50 per hour (after 3pm).Weekend shift differential is + $1.05 per hour when occurring.Part Time comprehensive medical/dental benefits, PTO, life insurance, disability, Retirement and more!Duties:
Performs decontamination, instrument assembly, inspection, disinfection, case cart management, and sterilization of medical devices and equipment.Handles sterile items in a manner which will not compromise their integrity.Good communication to effectively work with team members and customers.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Expect 8-hour shifts of standing/walking.Be able to push/pull up to 75lbs, lift up to 25lbs routinely.Frequent needs for reaching, bending, squatting, crouching.Able to tolerate heat while wearing personal protective equipment.Is able to work in an environment with frequent noises, alerts, and disruptions.EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED graduate or equivalent required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in healthcare preferred.Requires little or no prior relevant training or work experience.The ability to understand detailed technical instruction for surgical instrumentation and equipment.
