About the job:
You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team of product managers, marketers, designers, and engineers who research and innovate on the latest technology to create awesome digital products that millions of people will experience every day.
You will be responsible for testing the systems that improve customer experience, enable innovative user experiences, and increase store revenue. From testing an experimental machine learning prototype to a system with a production-ready backend, manual testers take many hats to see projects to completion. The position is located in Irving, TX (part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex). This job requires the candidate to be onsite for most of the days due to the nature of work and mix of hardware/software testing we do like on Point-of-Sale (POS) systems or actual hardware with Sensors or Machine Learning tools like Computer Vision.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written communication skills. Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual, deliverable focused, possesses an active, 'hands-on' style - who can work closely with teams of Product Owners, Developers and Business Users. Proficient in new feature testing, regression testing, smoke testing in retail applications. Proficient in mobile, web, and desktop-based applications in multiple browsers across retail applications Experienced in developing test strategies and planning approaches for manual and automated testing Work in an agile project and participate in daily stand up, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meeting. Experience in requirement analysis, creating traceability matrix, test planning, creating test data, and implementing test suite. Experience working with various android and iOS devices such as Samsung, iPhone, iPad, tablets. Experience working in a fast-paced environment on multiple efforts/deliverables. Isolate, and document development defects as well as participate in or lead Root Cause Analysis. Communicate defects and verify solutions with the development team. Must Have Qualifications:
5+ years direct experience functioning in a quality assurance environment Experience in Functional/Feature, Regression, Smoke Tests and Integration testing Understanding of SQL & NoSql DB's and ability to run queries to verify results Being able to perform the first level of debugging i.e. lookup application / system logs or console logs (in browser for UI) and check for any possible errors / outliers that might cause issues. Familiar with Restful services, and able to run tests in headless mode using Postman or similar tools Experience with defect reporting and tracking using Jira and Zephyr or comparable tools Demonstrated knowledge of structured testing and thorough understanding of quality assurance testing applications and concepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills Keen observation and excellent analytical skills Gathering and documenting test cases for both functional and technical requirements Experience with multiple development methodologies like SDLC, Agile-scrum or Waterfall Experience with Microsoft word, excel, office outlook, Microsoft teams Good to Have:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience for those years Experience with source control tools such as GIT is a plus Recent 2+ years of experience working in an Agile team environment Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) and/or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) Understanding of how CICD works and experience with Jenkins and similar tools Open to learning Automation testing as next level of progression Basic Knowledge and being able to navigate cloud-based systems like AWS/Azure.
