CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OPPORTUNITY AT KENWOOD COUNTRY CLUB

Kenwood Country Club is actively seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the Club's finance and accounting functions. The role will play an integral part as a strategic thought partner to the Club’s CEO and Board of Trustees. The candidate is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting, budget development and management, cash flow and forecasting analysis, internal controls, annual 3rd party audit, payroll, insurance and risk management, and tax compliance. The successful candidate will serve as the staff liaison for the Finance Committee and will attend regularly scheduled Board of Trustee meetings.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER ROLE OVERVIEW

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Position provides the leadership, the management and vision necessary to ensure the Club has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the club. The CFO works closely with the CEO and the Management Team and perform specific tasks as requested by the CEO. The position directly reports to the CEO and will supervise: Accounting Manager, IT 3rd party vendor, and one Staff Accountant Administrator. The position will serve as the administrative liaison to all departments and their department managers. The position will also be integrally involved with the Club's long-range planning by contributing to an annually updated Strategic Plan and Facility Master Plan to ensure the Club's amenities and programming are relevant for years to come.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS

7 – 10 years of progressive key financial leadership for an organization, preferably one in the hospitality industry, or possessive of a fundamental understanding of both non-profit organizations as well as the club industry.

Experience with 501c7 non-profits

Proficiency in Private club software for finance and accounting

Experience with cost analysis and tracking for construction and renovation projects

Demonstrated strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Team-oriented and able to meet deadlines

Charismatic, influential leadership with the ability to mentor and lead others

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Finance, Accounting or Business

7-10 years of professional finance/accounting experience with 3+ years at a Controller level

CPA preferred but not required

CMAA membership preferred but not required
