Functional Business Analyst - Financial Systems We are seeking a skilled Functional Business Analyst to join our Financial Systems Division. The ideal candidate should have experience with finance-related modules, preferably accounts payable and/or procurement within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. This role involves close collaboration with both functional and technical teams to support the financial systems. The qualified candidate will leverage their knowledge of accounts payable, reporting, and budgeting processes, ensuring the system's optimal design and configuration to maximize customer benefits. The role also includes working independently and in partnership with Business Owners and subject matter experts to refine business requirements and assist in creating functional designs. Familiarity with full lifecycle development processes and a commitment to excellence, competence, and customer service are essential. Responsibilities: Analyze information to determine customer requirements and concerns. Configure systems to meet business, regulatory, and legislative needs. Test system configurations to ensure alignment with requirements. Assist in developing and delivering training materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient business processes. Develop and execute change management plans for system transitions. Ensure that functionality aligns with laws, regulations, and best practices. Coordinate testing of new system functionalities. Assist in the development of standards and procedures for new and existing systems. Evaluate new technologies, enhancements, and solutions to improve service and efficiency. Research and analyze system issues using various analytical techniques. Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements. Update training materials related to the ERP platform. Technical Competencies: Ability to research, analyze, and make recommendations. Understanding of functional needs and system requirements. Skill in developing solutions based on analysis. Ability to document project standards and methodologies. Knowledge of data extraction methods. Problem-solving skills in diagnosing system and data issues. Strong communication skills with stakeholders and customers. Ability to create and execute testing plans. Experience conducting training sessions and coordinating across workgroups. Strong analytical and research skills, and adherence to deadlines. Clear and effective written and oral communication. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PeopleSoft, Workday, or other ERP financial modules. Experience in government or public sector financial systems. Ability to write and interpret functional and business requirements. Experience developing functional designs and implementing innovative financial solutions.
