Sterile Processing Technician

Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is looking to bring on a Sterile Processing Technician to support our growing Ambulatory Surgery Center. NWOS is closed all weekends and major holidays. No night shifts or on-call. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Accurately prepares, inspects, and identifies all surgical and procedural instruments in an efficient and effective manner and according to process and procedures.Meticulously inspects all surgical instruments and equipment for proper alignment, sharpness, function, and cleanliness before terminal cleaning and sterilization according to process and procedures.Accurately assembles clean instruments into specialized sets, package or wrap those instruments for sterilization. Is mindful of surgery schedule to ensure uninterrupted supply of sterile instrumentsMaintain knowledge of surgery preferences and assists with picking supplies and instruments for surgical cases.Assists in maintaining current listing of contents of all operating room and procedure room instruments.Maintains adequate inventory of supplies, equipment and instrumentsRecognized damaged or compromised of sterile packaging and instrumentsAssists with education and in-service on instrumentation and equipment and sterilization and disinfection.Practices Standard Precautions at all times.QUALIFICATIONS:Detail oriented and excellent problem solving skills1-2 years of Sterile Processing Experience strongly preferredC.R. Central Service Tech Basic Life Support (BLS)SHIFT:12-6:30pm, Monday - Friday.
