Looking for a career that challenges your mind, grows your skills, and contributes to a highly successful team?Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that build circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1000 employees and provides products to seven Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing.The position of Electronic Associate is responsible for performing soldering, bonding, wiring, routing, riveting, assembly, disassembly, touch up, rework, cleaning and minor modifications to several different assemblies and subassemblies within the facility including mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic parts and components using a variety of hand tools, in process checks and special assembly and alignment tooling. This role requires fine motor skills in order to assemble, adjust and align a variety of assemblies and subassemblies to close tolerance. Work from approved engineering drawings, mechanical blueprints, quality inspection procedures, military specifications, manufacturing process plans and other written instructions. Move in-process work, components, parts, assemblies, material and completed product to appropriate locations, utilizing all lifting and moving devices in the performance of duties throughout the facility. Use a wide variety of measuring instruments and equipment to perform visual, dimensional and mechanical floor and product inspection of printed circuit boards, harnesses, chassis, subassemblies, assemblies and final assemblies. Maintain logs, records and complete required paperwork.The Electronics Associate apprenticeship program will allow you to grow your knowledge and skills while earning a paycheck as a valued employee of Lockheed Martin in Ocala, FL. This employment opportunity with Lockheed Martin includes an upfront 4-week paid training. Those that successfully complete and pass this training will continue their apprenticeship with hands-on learning and mentoring as part of a great team helping to build some of the world's most precision engagement aerospace and defense systems. Completion of the apprenticeship will result in receiving a US Department of Labor Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion.**Military veterans can also access their available GI Bill benefits to receive a Monthly Housing Allowance while participating in the apprenticeship program.This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours a day with breaks)By applying for this role you will be considered for enterprise-wide opportunities within Lockheed Martin for the same or similar skill set.

Basic Qualifications

•High School diploma or equivalent•Must be able to work first and second shift according to the collective bargaining agreement•Must have basic computer skills which includes the ablility to navigate Microsoft Office programs, including Power Point, Word and Outlook•All candidates must have the ability to complete and pass a 4-week onsite paid training course which consists of: solder skills, plated through hole skills, cable and harness assembly skills, and surface mount technology skills•Must be a US Citizen due to facility requirements

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
