Location: Salvation Army/Bradenton Corp, Bradenton, FLPosition Type: Regular Full-Time, at 37.5 hrs/wkPay Range: $19.15 - $23.94About this opportunity:Manages volunteer and staff bell-ringing activities for Red Kettles, as well as community outreach activities with Manatee County schools and other organizations. Identifies and maintains a list of volunteer opportunities within the Area Command. Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of volunteers ensuring ample staff to meet program needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same. Under the direction of the Director of Development oversees, plans, and coordinates special events. Provides administrative detail and on-line record-keeping of all special events and volunteer activities for the Development Department.This position requires a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends. Requires an outgoing, detail-oriented, event-planning professional who can form/build vendor, community and donor relationships with an awareness of the Development Department's overall fundraising goals.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate the English language.Ability to speak before large groups in person,Ability to lead, motivate and evaluate the work efforts of volunteers.Ability to initiate projects and use sound judgment in concept assimilation and promotion.Duties are usually performed seated.
