Quality Technician

QUALITY TECHNICIANJob Description+ Perform periodic in-process quality checks, including physical and chemical lab testing, coding, weight, packaging integrity, labeling, temperature, sensory, document review, and data entry, to verify compliance with customer and MFIs specifications and all other associated regulations for all products.+ Inspect and sample incoming ingredients for internal lab testing as required.+ Assist in drafting, revising, and maintaining plant standard operating procedures.+ Participate in plant food safety/quality inspections, in-process inspections, mock recalls, label audits, and HACCP audits.+ Verify proper set-up of production lines at start-up and shift change, including printer set-up (coding), packaging materials, labeling, and quality limits.+ Review the sanitary condition of production lines prior to start-up by verifying filler sterilization limits, performing ATP (adenosine triphosphate) tests, environmental swabbing, and following up on sanitation procedures after downtime requiring maintenance activity.+ Communicate quality issues across departments and assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions where appropriate.+ Perform investigative environmental swabbing of critical production equipment/areas as a troubleshooting guide.+ Assist in investigations in response to customer concerns or other quality-related deviations to determine root cause and appropriate corrective actions.+ Assist in the management of quality hold activities, including non-conforming product inventories.+ Ensure lab equipment, refrigerators, thermometers, and other equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.+ Maintain and follow MFI micro sample and shelf-life study programs.+ Perform sample delivery to Micro Lab and other NJ MFI plants.+ Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained.+ Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately.Shift and Pay+ Hours are 5:30 am - 6:00 pm, and you will work a 2-2-3 shift schedule.INTERESTED CANDIDATES MAY SEND UPDATED RESUME TO: JGASSER @ ACTALENTSERVICES.COMAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
