Job Profile DescriptionThe Multimedia Manager is a skilled graphic designer with motion design and video editing capabilities. The ideal candidate will craft digital graphic assets for content campaigns, including crafting animated or video assets, PowerPoint decks, emails, web banners, logos, illustrations, and social media posts. Video editing capability and shooting capabilities are a major plus. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects while crafting and maintaining all communications materials within brand identity standards. The candidate should have a strong passion for storytelling through video and graphic content and will be responsible for editing across an array of internal and external communications channels. This role will work closely with in-house graphic designers, video producers, and writers to build outstanding content for internal and external viewing on behalf of the Global Communications team at Manulife.Position ResponsibilitiesImage curation as needed in keeping consistent with the brand identity standards.Lead multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Institute processes to streamline design and production workflow and generate efficiencies, including use of SharePoint and Smartsheet in alignment to project manager.Maintain and update SharePoint with all files for printers, graphic elements (photography, logos, illustrations), PDFs, and presentations.Campaign management across multiple platforms, including print and digital.Photography editing.Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that align with client's goals and brand guidelines.Ensure videos meet technical requirements and are optimized for various digital platforms.Use creative skills to improve visual appeal and storytelling across outputs.Add graphics, animations, effects, and transitions to build visually appealing videos that are both insightful and entertaining.Liaise with account teams and collaborate with producer and content team, including graphic designers, copywriters, and strategists, to develop video and graphics concepts and implement them optimally.Develop and shoot Global B-roll of our office environment, colleague engagement, and special events to showcase our winning team and culture.Required Qualifications :At least 5 years related design experience, preferably with emphasis on financial/insurance industry marketing materials.PC and MAC proficiency as well as a detailed knowledge of design software (Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Premiere editing platform).Strong and detailed understanding of traditional design skills including composition, storyboarding.Detailed understanding typography, color palettes, grid systems, and final file preparation.Works as a standout colleague with all levels of management.Good written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Minimal editing experience using software packages (e.g. Avid, GrassValley, Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop).Training and experience in how to tell a story using words, images, or audio and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience.Ability to prioritize multiple projects at the same time in order to complete them accurately and on schedule.Primary Location : Boston, MassachusettsWorking Arrangement : HybridSalary range is expected to be between : $86,325.00 USD - $155,385.00 USDAbout Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
