Responsibilities:
Provide engineering and physical insight into mechanical and marine systems for a data science team.
Support root cause analysis of ship system under-performance or detected anomalies.
Apply engineering principles to identify trends and events in complex ship data.
Develop hypothesis and goals for independent investigations.
Communicate results through reports and presentations to a non-technical audience.
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. (US Citizenship is required in order to obtain a security clearance from the DoD.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Marine, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
Comfortable with Python for data analysis.
Experience with signal processing or time series analysis.
Knowledge of numerical and optimization methods.
Desired:
Currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance.
Knowledge of fluids, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, or structures.
Experience with parallel or GPU computing.
Interest in data science, machine learning, or deep learning concepts.
Aircraft data experience.
This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

Pay Range:
The proposed salary range for this position is: $72,200 - $147,900. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
