We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with expertise in managing and optimizing Windows-based infrastructure in the AWS cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient Windows environments in AWS. You will manage patching, ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards, and oversee data backup and disaster recovery strategies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:•Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based infrastructure solutions on AWS to meet business and technical requirements.•Manage and optimize AWS services with a focus on Windows-based workloads, including EC2 (Windows Server), RDS for SQL Server, AWS Directory Service, and Amazon FSx for Windows File Server.•Configure, manage, and monitor Active Directory environments within AWS.•Develop and manage patching strategies to ensure all Windows-based systems are secure, compliant, and up to date, using AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager or similar tools.•Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as FEDRAMP, FIPS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS, through security best practices, audits, and documentation.•Design and implement data backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity and data integrity in the event of failures or disasters.•Monitor the performance, security, and availability of Windows environments in AWS, ensuring scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.•Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication, encryption, and secure networking for Windows-based systems.•Perform cost optimization for Windows resources on AWS, ensuring efficient usage and reducing unnecessary expenses.•Stay updated on the latest AWS services, Windows technologies, and compliance standards, providing recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.•Strong experience in managing Windows-based infrastructure in AWS, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft SQL Server.•Proficiency with AWS services related to Windows environments, such as EC2 (Windows), RDS for SQL Server, AWS Directory Service, and FSx for Windows File Server.•Hands-on experience with patching automation and management in AWS, using AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager or similar tools.•In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance, including FEDRAMP, FIPS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS, and experience ensuring adherence to these frameworks.•Solid understanding of networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, security groups, VPNs, and load balancing in AWS.•Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices for Windows environments, including IAM, encryption, and compliance with regulatory standards.•Experience with designing and implementing data backup and disaster recovery solutions in AWS, including the use of AWS Backup, S3, and disaster recovery strategies.•Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for automating Windows-based infrastructure deployments is a plus.•Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.•AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.•Experience with monitoring and logging tools for Windows environments (e.g., AWS CloudWatch).

Additional Skills:•Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.•Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools for Windows (e.g., System Center Configuration Manager).•Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
