Principal Financial Analyst

Well established growing consumer food company is looking for a talented Principal Financial Analyst to join the team. This position is onsite everyday in the city of Commerce and reports to the VP of Finance.Responsibilities
include but not limited to:Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expendituresMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected varianceGenerate project budget reports and lead review meetingsOversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Modeling toolsAd-Hoc Reporting and AnalysisQuarterly and Monthly Financial reportsImplement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reportsImprove performance by evaluating processes to drive efficienciesDevelop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiativesAnalyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposesSupporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysisPrepare presentations to Senior Management TeamAssist Finance team with month end close proceduresAd hoc reports as neededEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields required. MBA is a plus.5+ years of progressive, professional experience with financial analysis or corporate financeTechnical: Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, and financial modeling, possess exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on our financial results.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to establish strong relationships with others within and outside of the organization.
