Are you detail-oriented? If so, Modern Woodmen’s Agency Payroll & Compensation department is seeking a Commission Account and Payroll Analyst to process payroll and maintain commission accounts and payroll systems for our Regional Directors, Managing Partners and Financial Representatives.

Responsibilities:

Be familiar with and apply an understanding of the IRS employee classifications, payroll taxes, and IRS limits/thresholds on 401k and Medicare wages.Have a basic understanding of reasonable and necessary business expenses and review expense reports for compliance with an accountable plan.Process a semi-monthly payroll for our entire field, both active and inactive, as well as a monthly payroll for our field beneficiaries.Perform payroll balancing to ensure proper reporting and payments.Assist in various internal audits to ensure proper payroll protocols are upheld.Create and update records for new field representatives and maintain their account information.Update field representative account records for rank changes, terminations, deaths, direct deposit account changes, finance program changes and renewal commission qualification.Monitor the field’s account debit/credit balances based on our advance pay program.Research and correct account balance discrepancies.Review and update payroll records for Regional Director salaries, territorial development allowances and expense allowances.Review certificate changes, exchanges, cancellations, conversions, replacements and rider adjustments to calculate and update Field representative production credit and commissions.Communicate with field representatives and Home Office staff concerning all aspects of field compensation.Complete employment verification forms for financial institutions and monitor and maintain garnishment records and lists for field representativesWhat we need:

Associates degree and 3 years related experience, preferably in accounting and/or experience with payroll systems.Must be professional and discreet. Position includes access to confidential data.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and administrative skills.Exceptional organization and time management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.What we offer:

Pay:

The hourly pay for this position is $22.50. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.Work Arrangements:

This is a full-time hybrid position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM. Hybrid positions work at least 3 days in office and the remaining days each week working from home. Employees beginning to work in a new hybrid role will be asked to work on-site (5 days a week) during the initial training period which may be up to 1 year.Stability:
