Job Purpose
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide accounting expertise in key areas,play a significant role in the internal control environment and the month end closings, as wellas assist in financial reporting and analysis process.
Principal Accountabilities
Audits reports to ensure the integrity of accounting transactions and to verify that properprocedures are being followed. Identify potential problem areas and recommendcorrective actions.Posts cash application, sends collection communications, oversees credit management,and audits the weekly payment run.Oversees the fixed assets, including setting up and closing projects, calculatingdepreciation, tagging assets, and annual inventory of assets.Calculates the use tax due monthly and provides the support to corporate and otherparties as needed.Prepares monthly inventory journals, reconciliations and analysis.Creates monthly and annual reports as directed by managementConfirms and properly reports all company and intercompany financial transactions andbalances.Prepares Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet analysis.Prepares analyses of external and intercompany sales revenue and volume toaccurately report financial results.GAP Analysis & Operating Income Summary for Japanese reporting.Assists in annual budget process and prepares the monthly reporting package.Contributes heavily to the monthly financial close process within global deadlines.Supports the Finance Department by contributing to team efforts and participating inprojects.The employee is responsible for adhering to the Safety, Internal Compliance, andQuality Management System under ISO 9001 and/or the company's quality procedures.The employee is responsible for conducting their activities in adherence to theCompany's Safety, Internal Control, and Quality Management Systems and incompliance with all MCA corporate policies, procedures and training requirements.Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business- required5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in comparable environment- requiredPrefer five years in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of US GAAP is required, and knowledge of International Financial ReportingStandards ("IFRS") is preferred.Strong proficiency in SAP, Excel, MS Teams, accounting principles, accountingprocedures, and internal controls.Detail oriented and self-motivated with advanced mathematical comprehension.A high degree of competence with the ability to work accurately, attention to detail, andthe ability and flexibility to manage multiple projects.Proficient in 10-key by touch.Verbal and written communications skills to communicate with accounting department,business leaders, and MCA-SPR workforcePay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
The salary range for this position is $90,000- $100,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
